AN APOSTOLIC CALLING

INTRODUCTION:

The Lord has placed a definite and clear call upon my wife and I to Apostolic ministry. We believe the Lord is restoring to the Church the Five Fold Ministry. Our ministry primarily exists to access potential in new areas with a purpose of expanding the dominions of the Kingdom. We are given authority and power to subdue spiritual enemies, to conquer, convert, to instruct, to train the people, and establish the new believers into Kingdom culture.

With this in mind, my family and I will be leaving New York to prepare for the next season of our ministry.

CHRISTIAN TABERNACLE’S HISTORY IN LONG ISLAND:

As a native Californian, I have committed my life to serving and helping every person, regardless of background and economic status, to achieve their fullest potential. I worked side-by-side with my father, Bishop Abel Aguilar, for more than 10 years at Christian Tabernacle in Santa Ana, California.

On October 22, 2003, we brought a message of power and change to the East Coast and founded Christian Tabernacle New York. Even though the first service only had 11 attendees, our vision was one of multitudes and nations. With a heart of commitment to people of all ages and backgrounds my wife and I have paid the price with our finances, time, our home, and our children putting aside all personal ambition to fulfill the mission of establishing the Kingdom of Jesus on earth. Christian Tabernacle Church is focused like never before on meeting the needs of the New York Metro and Long Island communities and providing ministries and services that impact every area of life through the principles of the Kingdom.

In a short amount of time, the church grew from 11 to 36 people after 25 were baptized into Jesus Christ. There was great opposition, but the more difficult the trial the more the church grew in faith and numbers. This was a special beginning moment in our history because those members who are still with us to this day are witnesses of how great our God is. We thank God for these pillars of faith for their faithfulness and loyalty to the work of God.

The Lord spoke to me to seek a ministry vision without limits – one of nations. God directed me to step out to purchase a building with less than 40 members. God promised to back up the vision with the financial power through Kingdom investors if I would believe for not hundreds nor thousands, but the salvation of millions who know not Christ. He also promised to fill the church benches if we would hunger for Him more than any other thing in this world.

It is important to note that a very small group of members and a group of Apostolic Kingdom investors joined together to please God through sacrificial giving. On April 27, 2007 Christian Tabernacle New York and the Apostolic Assembly purchased a $2.3 million dollar property in Long Island (Wantagh, NY). This property is now worth more than $3 million dollars.

The church remained small for a short amount of time. A wave of people flooded our services. In 2008 (only a year later of the purchase of the new facility), while the world was being tried by fire, God observed and decided to reward those who persevered through the crisis. We never set our eyes on the earthly things around us, but on things above. We endured many obstacles and difficulties through the clear vision that God gave us. In only three months, the church grew from 60 to 150 members.

After seven special years, Christian Tabernacle is a strong, healthy, growing church. It is producing not only members of the Body of Christ but also ministry leaders for the Kingdom. The church has more than 50 leaders and a core staff of eight pastors and wives. All of the core staff has stood with me the majority of our journey here in New York.

Entering into 2010, Christian Tabernacle holds 26 Home Friendship Groups and 30 Fresh Start Groups a week averaging approximately 300 people. Celebration Services average 260 people every Sunday.

Christian Tabernacle also has an incredible culture of giving. The church is solid financially and will continue to grow as it carries on the vision to see lives changed.

The journey of my family in New York comes to a conclusion on a mountaintop. On May 29, 2010, more than 2,300 souls attended the Journey To Experience event at the Madison Square Garden. More than 1,800 souls confirmed to have been filled with the Holy Ghost speaking with tongues for the first time setting a record in American Pentecostal history.

More than 1,600 unbelievers have attended Christian Tabernacle since May 29, 2010 and are the target of our evangelism campaign to see lives changed.

The stage has been set for the future of the Kingdom in New York and the nation.

CHRISTIAN TABERNACLE’S FUTURE:

With every healing, every testimony of health, financial blessing, and a restored home the vision that God has given us is realized.

The local membership is joined with the heart of Christ. There is one mind and one vision. The vision is clear. The mind of the Church is set on the promises of a great future. It is not a matter of “if,” but a matter of “when.” We believe the time has come.

It is my strong conviction that God has already prepared and anointed a man for our successor. Ephraín and Beria Gaxiola have stood with us as our Executive Pastors for almost 4 years. The church already has a respect for them and they are proven in the eyes of God and the people. I have personally trained them and prepared them for pastorship and I believe they understand the vision for New York better than anyone.

We will leave behind a pastoral staff of six members who have the admiration for the Gaxiola Family already. This staff includes assistant pastors: Santos and Wendy Guevara, Eliud and Natalie Gaxiola, and Ulices and Denia Estrada.

Ephraín and Beria are a key reason for Christian Tabernacle’s success in the areas of church growth. They were also an intricate part of the Journey To Experience team. They were responsible for the invitation and execution of more than 1,100 guests from Long Island who attended Journey To Experience at Madison Square Garden. Ephraín and Beria were also the Stewardship Campaign Directors for Journey To Experience. More than $200,000 was raised through their leadership.

Ephraín Gaxiola holds a B.A. in Architecture from University of New Mexico, class of 2003. He also worked in the secular field as a general manager for the Radio Shack Corporation for several years before dedicating to the ministry.

Beria Gaxiola holds B.S. in Psychology, B.S. in Spanish, and an M.A. in Child and Family Therapy from the University of New Mexico and the University of Phoenix, classes of 2002 and 2006. Beria currently works at the Hispanic Counseling Center in Long Island as a family therapist.

WHAT’S NEXT:

My wife and I will transfer our mantle of authority to the Gaxiola Family. We will then move to California to serve as the Executive Pastors of Christian Tabernacle Santa Ana and lead the Church to the next great outpouring of the Holy Ghost in Los Angeles, CA.

Timing is especially critical in moves like these and we believe the timing couldn’t be better according to the Lord’s will for our lives.

I leave you with these words that resonate in my heart daily: “We need to see massive outpourings of the Holy Ghost!” – spoken by the late modern day apostle, Billy Cole

With great passion for the lost,

Pastor Jason and Christine Aguilar
